Ansela / Who it’s for / Pest control
For pest control technicians
Something’s scratching in the loft and they want you today. She books it.
Ansela answers in your business’s name, takes the postcode and what they’ve heard or found, books the slots you’ve kept free and puts the calls you choose through to you.
£1.99 your first month, including VAT, then from £99 a month + VAT. 60 minutes in month one. No contract.
Set up in about 15 minutes.
Ansela is a Bookeasy.ai product. You sign up at ansela.bookeasy.ai, and you’ll see BOOKEASY.AI on your card statement.
Is there an answering service for pest control firms?
Yes. Ansela is an AI phone receptionist for pest control technicians. She answers in your firm’s name while you’re in a loft or a kitchen, takes the postcode and what the caller has seen or heard, books the slots you’ve kept for same-day work, and puts through the calls you choose. Plans start at £99 a month + VAT.

The call that came in before the first job
This is the kind of call a pest firm gets at eight in the morning. The caller wants to put poison down herself, wants a time that isn’t free, and still takes today’s slot.
Example call; Marsden Pest Solutions and the caller are made up.
This call may be recorded. Thank you for calling Marsden Pest Solutions. Please hold for a moment while I connect you.Recorded, and played before she picks up.
Marsden Pest Solutions, Ansela speaking. How can I help?
Hiya, we’ve got something in the loft. Scratching, every night, about three in the morning. My partner thinks it’s squirrels but I found droppings by the boiler cupboard this morning, so I think it’s rats.
That doesn’t sound nice. Can I take your postcode?
DE22 1AB. Can I put some poison down myself till you get here? There’s some in the shed.
I can’t advise on poison or bait, I’m afraid. Lee will go through that at the visit. He has a slot today at two, or tomorrow at nine.
Today. Oh, hang on, two’s the school run. Can he do half two?
Two is the slot he’s got today. Would two work, or is tomorrow at nine better?
Two. I’ll get my mum to do the school run.
Two today, then. What name is it, and is this the right number for Lee?
Kerry Walsh. Yeah, this one.
Thanks Kerry. Lee will be with you at two today.

What she does for a pest control firm, and what she won’t
She works from what you tell her: what you treat, your area, your set prices and the slots you keep free for same-day work.
- Treatments and surveys, booked into your diary with the postcode and what the caller has seen or heard.
- Fixed-price jobs like a wasp nest, priced from your list and booked.
- “Do you cover Mickleover?” and “Can you come today?” answered from your area and your free slots.
- Commercial and contract calls, put through to you or taken as a message, as you choose.
- Won’t advise on poisons, baits or treatment. She books a visit and you talk it through there.
- Won’t promise a time you haven’t made available. She books the slots you’ve kept free and takes the details for the rest.
03
What happens when a pest controller misses a call?
Someone who has heard scratching at three in the morning, or found droppings by the boiler, wants it dealt with today. They aren’t browsing. They ring the first firm on the list, and then the next one, and the job goes to whoever answers.
You’re often where you can’t pick up: in a loft space in a mask, on a roof by a wasp nest, in a restaurant kitchen after closing. A message to ring back is too slow for this trade.
04
What does an AI receptionist ask when someone rings about rats, wasps or mice?
What they’ve seen or heard, and where: the loft, the kitchen, under the decking, a nest in the eaves. Then how long it’s been going on, whether it’s a home or a business, and the postcode, so she can say whether you cover them.
She books the same-day or next-day slots you’ve kept open, or takes the details if you’re full. Fixed-price jobs like a wasp nest are priced from your list, if you’ve given her one. Your services might also include mice, bed bugs, fleas, cockroaches or squirrels, and you tell her which of those you take.
05
Can she put urgent or commercial calls through?
Yes, if you tell her which ones. You might have her put through a restaurant or a food business, a care home, or anyone booked in for today. You choose the rule and where the call goes, and she follows it. Contract and commercial enquiries can come to you as a message instead.
Membership of a trade body such as the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) is a claim only you can make. If you want callers told you’re a member, give her the line.
06
What will she say when someone asks about poison?
Callers often ask what they can put down themselves. Ansela gives no advice on poisons, baits or treatment. She says you’ll go through it at the visit, and books the visit. She doesn’t guess at the pest, and she doesn’t promise a time you haven’t made available. Her part is the details and the booking. The treatment, and what to do until you arrive, is yours.
Plans start at £99 a month + VAT: see what each plan includes. Paying a per-call service now? See how Ansela compares.
07
Where the phone usually is while the bait boxes go down
We built Ansela because we kept ringing tradespeople who couldn’t pick up, and then booking someone else. She isn’t a call centre. She answers in your name, says what you’ve told her to say, and writes down what the caller wanted.
If she gets a call wrong, forward us the recording.

08
How do you set up Ansela?
You choose a plan before your number goes live.
For pest control: keep your current number and divert it to Ansela, or take a new UK business number for your website and cards, or use both.
- Give her your website. She reads it and comes back with what you treat, your area and your hours for you to check.
- Keep some same-day slots free. She only books into those, and you choose which calls she puts through. Then try the loft call above with her in your browser.
- Divert your mobile. We give you a UK number. One short code diverts your mobile to it when you don’t pick up. Another turns it off.

Questions pest control ask
Can she put a restaurant with rats straight through to me?
Yes. You tell her which calls to put through, like commercial premises or anything in a kitchen, and she sends them to your mobile.
People ask what they can put down themselves.
She doesn’t advise on poison, bait or treatment. She books the visit or takes the details, and says you’ll go through it there.
We do contracts. Can she price those?
No. Contract enquiries come to you as a message or a call put through. She only gives fixed prices you’ve given her.
Can she keep slots back for same-day jobs?
Yes. Set aside the times you want held for urgent calls and she offers those first when someone wants it today.
Do I have to change my number?
No. We give you a UK number and you divert your own to it with a short code (codes by network). Turn the divert off whenever you like.
What is a minute, and can she take two calls at once?
A minute is time she spends on the phone with callers. Starter includes 600 a month, extra minutes are 20p each up to a limit you set, and Starter takes 1 call at a time. A caller who rings while she’s busy can leave a voicemail, which doesn’t use your minutes.
Is there a contract, and what happens after the £1.99 month?
No minimum term. After the first month it carries on at your plan price plus VAT unless you cancel, which you can do from your billing page at any time.
